About This Database
Upon selecting this data range a framed search criteria entry form will appear:
Each name entry has nine associated fields:
Last_Name: Alpha string (a-z) of any length, no special characters or spaces; not case sensitive.
First_Name: Alpha string (a-z),first eight characters, no special characters or spaces; not case sensitive.
Middle_Name: Alpha string (a-z),first eight characters, no special characters or spaces; not case sensitive.
Name_Suffix: Alpha string (a-z),first eight characters, no special characters or spaces; not case sensitive.
Maiden_Surname: Alpha string (a-z),first eight characters, no special characters or spaces; not case sensitive.
S: "B" for Bride or "G" for Groom; not case sensitive.
R: Race digit.
Mo: The exact two digit month of Birth, 01 thru 12 (leading zero required).
Dy: The exact two digit day of Birth, 01 thru 31 (leading zero required).
Year: The exact four digit year of Birth (ie. 1950).
CO: The exact two digit County code (leading zero required).
File_N: The exact six digit file number (leading zero required).
Recommended Use: The Searcher may enter data into any one or all fields, however it is recommended that only one be used. In the event that the potential results are impracticably long (eg. Last_Name="Smith") then other field entries can be sparingly used.
To facilitate search flexibility, a wildcard "%", may be used and is recommended especially where the name spellings are uncertain. So, as an example entering "mary%" in the "First_Name" field would yield all births for a given year having first names with beginning letters "mary" (eg. mary, maryjane, maryann. . )
